Opening Statement

This blog grew out of necessity, my friends and I decided there is more to Nashville than a small handful of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops we call our social life.  This city is better than most people give it credit for and if we can start having fun really experiencing this city perhaps we can overcome the infamous too-cool-for-school Nashville label.  Here is the important disclaimer this is not a blog of snobbery this is meant for open minds.  Tootsie’s and a walk around the Opryland Hotel have their place but so do art galleries and Mediterranean restaurants.

As you read this blog it will be updated with all sorts of activities.  We will do our best to offer suggestions of how to enjoy different aspects of Nashville and perhaps most importantly we can tell you what to expect when you check it out for yourself.  For instance if there is a great server at a restaurant we’ll tell you about him or her.

Listen if you’re a skeptic I get it, we all get in ruts and enjoy what is comfortable.  For me it’s grey sweatpants, wearing sunglasses inside my house, McDonalds then a few hours of Grand Theft Auto but there is more to Nashville than calling every Friday night Applebee’s and Hollywood 27.  Let’s get out there and to quote a friend “mix it up”.
